BTA Daugava Stadium is one of the largest sports facilities in Latvia, as well as a multi functional cultural complex in the center of Riga. The stadium infrastructure offers conditions for the implementation of sports such as football on natural grass, comprehensive athletics disciplines, as well as spacious and modern sports premises for the needs of various sports, dance halls and fitness zones, making it the central and main stadium of Latvia for a wide audience at both amateur and professional levels. The stadium is also suitable for holding sports classes for general education schools, technical schools, colleges and higher-level educational institutions throughout the year. Various sports games can be organized at the stadium.
The stadium has also become home to the Latvian Nationwide Song and Dance Festival and the Latvian School Youth Song and Dance Festival.
As a result of the stadium reconstruction works carried out in 2018, during which the central grandstand was completely rebuilt and the side grandstands (South and North grandstands) were newly built, the spectator capacity in the stadium increased to more than 10,000. Including standing and seated places, the stadium capacity is more than 15,000, creating an opportunity to hold and organize national and international events, competitions and concerts here.
Info for 11.03.2026. From 17:00, "BTA Daugava Stadium" football pitch maintenance works are planned, and the stadium will not be available to visitors.
