The national Kleisti sports base offers an environment and infrastructure for equestrian sport training and competitions. The historic area, located within the borders of Riga, combines a peaceful presence of nature with functional infrastructure – horse stables, an indoor arena and outdoor training grounds. 

In Kleisti sports base it is possible to train in equestrian sport, use the territory for keeping horses, as well as adapt it for other sports or leisure events. Here, local and international level competitions in show jumping and dressage are held regularly, bringing together athletes and spectators from various countries.

The task of LNSC, managing the national sports centre from 29.07.2025, is to purposefully develop the Kleisti sports base, increase the quality of its services and infrastructure, so that, together with belonging to LNSC, it would establish good governance of the state of Kleisti sports base to improve modern conditions for equestrian sport and promote high sporting achievements.
